Where memories live and the stories are told.

There's no place like Forest Lawn.

Forest Lawn is one of America's premier historic cemeteries.  Unmatched natural beauty – hills, valleys, lakes and streams.  Sculptural masterpieces.  Living history.  Most importantly, the stories - of those who now rest in peace under our care.  These stories shouldn’t end here.  They are ready to be discovered and to have the next chapters written. We invite you to read more about our history, plan a visit, become a member or access our extensive archives of historic documents.

My Story

Your memories and photos archived at Forest Lawn

Don't let your family's cherished memories be lost to time - either due to the passing of a loved one who is the "keeper" of the family stories, or the loss of irreplaceable photos and documents to fire, flood or other incident. Now you can capture your memories and photos and archive them here at Forest Lawn with My Story, an archival tribute.

Through this new service, you and the members of your family will meet with Forest Lawn's professional genealogists who will:

  • Scan and digitize up to 25 of your family's photos and documents
  • Capture and make an audio recording of your family's memories associated with each photo/document
  • Load all of this information onto two jump drives - one you can take home with you; the other will become part of the Forest Lawn archives - stored in a state-of-the-art, secure and environmentally controlled archival storage area, where you and your family members can access the records at any time.

Preserve your cherished memories and photos in Forest Lawn's archives with the help of our professional genealogists and archivists for only $125.
