A final resting place.

An urn is a decorative container specifically designed to hold a cremated body. It can be anything from a simple wooden box, to a ceramic vase, to a stone bench or even a one-of-a-kind bronze sculpture.

The urn may be:

  • Buried in-ground
  • Displayed in a glass, marble or granite niche in an indoor or outdoor mausoleum
  • Placed above ground in our E. B. Green designed Chapel.

At Forest Lawn, you can select an urn from one of our collections, or bring an urn provided by your funeral director or another source. Forest Lawn offers many different types of urns for you to choose from, at every price range (starting at approximately $200, and going into the thousands of dollars – depending on materials, craftsmanship, uniqueness, etc.). Of course, we also work with a number of exceptionally skilled artists, for those who prefer a custom design. Most urns are designed to hold the remains of one person, but there are options to hold the remains of two or more people, if needed.

For more information about urns, please call (716) 885-1600 or email flc@forest-lawn.com.
