The Margaret L. Wendt Archive and Resource Center is an archival “center of excellence” for protecting, and conserving one of WNY’s most precious assets – Forest Lawn’s collection of more than 1.2 million historic documents, including the most comprehensive family archives in Western New York.

Now you can get a glimpse of Forest Lawn’s extensive archival collection of records, documents and photographs, some of which date back to the earliest days of the cemetery.

A collection of historic images of Forest Lawn have also been added to the New York Heritage website and are now available online. The collections in New York Heritage represent a broad range of historical, scholarly, and cultural materials held in libraries, museums, and archives throughout the state. The site provides free access to more than 170 distinct digital collections, totaling hundreds of thousands of items.
