Looking for something to do in Buffalo? Maybe something outside the same old nightlife and dining options? Forest Lawn is one of the city's top attractions. There are many ways to enjoy the beauty and splendor of Forest Lawn’s 269 acres, while learning more about its history, its more than 163,000 residents, sculptural and architectural masterpieces and the beautiful grounds, including lakes, creeks, trees and wildlife.

The best way to do so is through our ever-popular, award-winning tour program. Each year, from June through October, Forest Lawn is proud to present a full schedule of guided tours that explore the many facets of one of Western New York’s most precious cultural jewels - national and international history, art, architecture and nature, including trees, waterways and wildlife.

Climb aboard the climate controlled, state-of-the-art Forest Lawn Trolley or walk the grounds for an entertaining and enjoyable trip back in time. Our experienced, knowledgeable docents will be your guides as they share the many stories of Forest Lawn. And along the way, don’t be surprised if you meet some of Forest Lawn’s famous “permanent residents” during your journey.

Please note that all tours run rain or shine.  We cannot issue refunds or allow exchanges for ticket purchases.

Attention Wheelchair Users:

The Forest Lawn trolley is wheelchair accessible.  But if you use a wheelchair and you're interested in purchasing tickets for any of our trolley tours, we ask you to contact us via phone to make your purchase.  This will enable us to ensure that there is sufficient space available on the trolley to accomodate the wheelchair.  Simply call us at 7i6-332-2233 and we'll be happy to help you.

Please note this special announcement regarding Forest Lawn's 2019 production of It WAS a Wonderful Life.

It is with great regret that we must announce the cancellation of this year’s production of It WAS a Wonderful Life, due to extraordinary circumstances unrelated to the show.

As you may know, Forest Lawn is part of the Forest Lawn Group of Cemeteries.  Earlier this year, a natural disaster occurred at one of our cemeteries – St. Matthew’s in West Seneca.  A portion of the St. Matthew’s property collapsed into bordering Cayuga Creek, threatening the sanctity of more than 200 burials, which were at risk of falling into the creek.  The costs we incurred for the emergency actions to protect the burials and relocate them were staggering –  nearly $600,000 to date.

As you can imagine, for a non-profit organization like ours, an unplanned expense of this magnitude has a profound impact.  To work our way through it, we have been forced to make some very difficult decisions.  One of these is the cancellation of this year’s production of It WAS a Wonderful Life.

If you have already purchased tickets for any of the performance of It WAS a Wonderful Life, we will issue a refund to you.  We thank you for your support of Forest Lawn and your interest in the show.

Please accept our deepest apologies for the disappointment and inconvenience caused by our need to cancel the production.  We intend to re-establish this Western New York holiday tradition next year.
